Brian’s work expands on the occult and esoteric though the lens of ritual and tantric practice. In contrast to the dominant structures of Western European culture, their work seeks to explore the relationship between the sacred and the sexual. Brian taps into the cultural taboo of Devil worship as a prompt for exploring these themes.
The act of creation is an investment in the future, in the belief that there will be a future, a place, person and time where this act of creation will be received. This investment in the future, more so than some cynical bid for immortality, is why artists make, to assert our belief, unwavering, that tomorrow will come. My art is an act of going all in on this idea. It is a gamblers investment in tomorrow.
